Ken Woods, tenor singer, was born on March 30, 1960.
Kens father was in the Air Force so spent the first 10 years growing up moving from
state to state. Ken accepted Jesus Christ at the DownRiver Baptist Church in Wyandotte,
Michigan at the age of 8. Ken comes from a family which loves music. Most of his family
either plays an instrument or sings and has spent a lot of weekends enjoying and
participating in music. Ken began singing in the church choir at the age of 12 and the
next year started singing with a youth ensemble.
Gospel music wasn't a part of Ken's life until seeing Calvary Road in concert. Interest
in this type of music was born and Ken has really embraced it completely. Ken graduated
from Walker High School in Jasper Alabama, spent three years active duty in the Army, then
pursued a degree in Electrical Engineering.
Ken moved to Huntsville in 1990 and is currently living there and working as an
Internet Developer. Ken has three children, 21 year old Nicholas, 17 year old Jordan,
and 12 year old Elise. Ken enjoys reading, writing, anything outdoors and singing
every chance he gets.
